Richard Brautigan

One of my favorite books is Richard Brautigan’s The Hawkline Monster, so I had a lot of fun doing this. Subtitled “A Gothic Western” the novel takes place mostly in a huge Victorian mansion set alone on a hill in the wilds of 1800s Oregon. Its inhabitants are plagued by a horrifying monster. 1. Hey–Brautigan was inspiration for my senior project! I didn’t know we shared that. I love the illustration.

  2. Oh cool! I’m doing one for In Watermelon Sugar too…should be up in a day or so.

  3. This is brilliant, I’ve been looking for coverart for this book as part of a book review I’m doing and yours is better than all of the published work I’ve seen so far.
